GENEVA, N.Y. — The William Smith College tennis team defeated Oneonta 7-2 this afternoon in Bristol Field House. The Herons are now 4-2 overall.

Maggie Bonomo and sophomore
Dina Rigas fell to Julieta Eulau and Alyssa Brault 8-1 at No. 1. Juniors
Allie Perron and
Kate Foley bested Mya Lipscomb and Olivia Fraser 8-4 in the No. 2 spot. Sophomores
Katelyn Nguyen and
Charlotte Engebrecht defeated Alexandra Dratch and Madeline Carswell 8-5 at No. 3. Nguyen and Engebrecht are 6-0 in doubles play in the No. 3 spot this season.
William Smith clinched the match in singles play. Perron bested Eulau 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1. Bonomo defeated Brault 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 2 spot. Foley fell to Lipscomb 1-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-6) at No. 3. Rigas forced a third set besting Fraser 1-6, 7-6, 1-0 (10-4) at No. 4. Junior
Leland Barclay defeated Dratch 6-2, 6-3 in the No. 5 spot. Senior
Alex Greenberg bested Carswell 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 6 spot.
William Smith will be back in action Wednesday, March 27, when it travels to play University of Rochester. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
