SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — The William Smith tennis team fell to Skidmore 9-0 this afternoon at the Wilton YMCA. With the loss, the Herons drop to 5-3 overall and 1-1 in the Liberty League.

Dina Rigas fell to Risa Fukushige and Renee Karchere-Sun 8-1 in the No. 1 spot. Juniors
Allie Perron and
Kate Foley were bested at No. 2 by Jessica Ampel and Dea Koiava 8-3. Sophomores
Katelyn Nguyen and
Charlotte Engebrecht fell at No. 3 to Audrey Soohoo and Lily Feldman 8-6.
In singles play, Skidmore won 6-1, 6-0 at Nos. 3 and 4. Perron fell at No. 1 to Koiava 6-2, 6-4. Bonomo lost in the No. 2 spot 6-1, 6-2. Senior
Alex Greenberg fell to Arielle Gal 6-1, 6-4 at No. 5. Nguyen was bested by Ampel 6-3, 6-0 in the No. 6 spot.
William Smith will be back in action tomorrow Sunday, March 31, when it hosts Vassar in another Liberty League match at Bristol Field House.
