GENEVA, N.Y. — The William Smith College tennis team swept Nazareth 9-0 this afternoon. The Herons are now 9-4 overall.

Dina Rigas beat Erin Schantz and Brooke Murphy 8-2 in the No. 1 spot. Juniors
Kate Foley and
Allie Perron defeated Jackie Lisak and Marisa Joyce 8-3 at No. 2. Foley and Perron are 11-2 in the No. 2 spot this season and have won five consecutive matches in doubles play. Sophomores
Katelyn Nguyen and
Charlotte Engebrecht notched a win at No. 3 over Elizabeth Karstedt and Maelah Nadeau 8-2. Nguyen and Engebrecht are 11-2 in the No. 3 spot this season.
The Herons clinched the match in singles play. Perron beat Lisak 6-2, 7-5 in the No. 1 spot. Bonomo defeated Karstedt 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2. Bonomo is 9-3 in the No. 2 spot this season and has won five consecutive matches in singles play. Foley recorded a win at No. 3 over Joyce 6-2, 6-3. Rigas beat Nadeau 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4. Rigas is 6-1 at the No. 4 spot this season. Junior
Leland Barclay only gave up one point at No. 5, besting Murphy 6-1, 6-0. Barclay is undefeated (6-0) in the No. 5 spot this season. Senior
Alex Greenberg recorded a win at No. 6 over Burgos 6-2, 6-2.
William Smith will be back in action on Saturday, April 13, when it travels to New York City to face New York University. The match is scheduled to start at 11 a.m.
