HOBOKEN, N.J. — The William Smith College tennis team swept Stevens 9-0 this afternoon. The Herons are now 10-5 overall this season.

Maggie Bonomo and sophomore
Dina Rigas defeated Julia Earl and Makenna Sargis 8-5 in the No. 1 spot. Juniors
Kate Foley and
Allie Perron swept Agatha Malinowski and Isabella Calandra 8-0 at No. 2. Sophomores
Charlotte Engebrecht and
Katelyn Nguyen beat Alexis Fuda and Chelsea Braithwaite 8-6 in the No. 3 spot.
The Herons clinched the match in singles play. Perron bested Malinowski 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 1 spot. Bonomo notched a win in the No. 2 spot over Earl 6-2, 4-6, 10-7. Foley forced a third set and defeated Fuda 5-7, 6-1, 10-7 at No. 3. Rigas recorded a win at No. 4 over Calandra 6-1, 6-0. Junior
Leland Barclay notched a win at No. 5 over Sargis 6-2, 6-1. Senior
Alex Greenberg defeated Badalyan 6-0, 6-2 in the No. 6 spot.
William Smith will be back in action on Friday, April 19, when it hosts Rensselaer at HWS Tennis Center. The match is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
