CLINTON, N.Y. — The William Smith College tennis team was defeated by Hamilton 6-3 this evening. The Herons fall to 11-6 overall.

Maggie Bonomo notched a win at No. 1 besting Sophia Aulicino and Audrey Chor 8-6. Juniors
Kate Foley and
Allie Perron fell to Kat Roberts and Aijla Karabegovic 8-6 at No. 2. Sophomores
Charlotte Engebrecht and
Katelyn Nguyen tallied a win at No. 3 over Jane Haffer aand Sarah Bargamian 8-7. Engebrecht and Nguyen are 13-4 in the No. 3 spot this season.
The Continentals clinched the match in singles play. Perron fell to Aulicino 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 1 spot. Bonomo defeated Chor 6-0, 7-5 at No. 2. Bonomo is now 12-4 in the No. 2 spot. Foley forced a third set but fell at No. 3 to Haffer 1-6, 7-6, 2-6. Rigas lost to Roberts 6-1, 6-2 at No. 4. Junior
Leland Barclay fell to Karabegovic 6-3, 6-0 in the No. 5 spot. Senior
Alex Greenberg was defeated by Becca Ingber 6-4, 6-2.
William Smith will be back in action when it hosts St. Lawrence Sunday, April 28, for the last Liberty League match of the season. The contest is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
