GENEVA, N.Y. — The Hobart College tennis team defeated Vassar 7-2 this afternoon inside Bristol Field House. The Statesmen are now 11-6 overall and 5-2 in the Liberty League. The Statesmen clinched the third seed of the Liberty League Tournament with the victory.
Junior
Alan Dubrovsky had his 23rd singles win this season when he defeated David Gandham 6-1, 6-3 in the No. 1 spot. With the win, Dubrovsky sets a new single season record for wins at Hobart.
The Statesmen led 3-0 at the conclusion of doubles play. Sophomore
Walker Anderson and Dubrovsky notched a win at No. 1 over Allen Sokolov and Jeremy Auh 8-0. First-year

Colin Molloy bested Gandham and Adam Kruger 8-3 at No. 3. Senior

Jack Ledford defeated Nicolas Demaria and Matthew Yee 8-4 in the No. 2 spot.
The Statesmen clinched the match in singles play. Ledford tallied a win at No. 4 over Kruger 6-2, 6-4. Atwater defeated Yee 6-2, 6-2, in the No. 2 spot. Atwater has now won seven consecutive singles matches. Anderson defeated Jamie Anderson 6-4, 6-3 at No. 3. Shung fell to Sokolav 6-1, 1-6, 3-6 in the No. 5 spot. Molloy fell to Auh 6-4, 6-7 (4-7), 10-12 at No. 6.
The Statesmen will be back in action tomorrow, Sunday April 28, when they host St. Lawrence University inside Bristol Field House.
