GENEVA, N.Y. —The William Smith College tennis team defeated Cortland 9-0 this afternoon inside of Bristol Field House. The Herons will end their regular season with a 13-6 overall record and are 6-2 in the Liberty League.

Charlotte Engebrecht tallied a win in the No. 1 spot 8-0 over Katie Barber and Meghan Pembroke. Nguyen and Engebrecht are 15-6 overall in doubles play this season. Junior

Allie Perron swept Arrigo 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 1 spot. Bonomo is now 21-6 in singles play with a win over Arrigo 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 2 spot. Rigas notched a win in straight sets over Barber 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 3 spot. Nguyen tallied a win at No. 4 over Pembroke 6-0, 6-0. Engebrecht recorded a win over Wroblewski 6-0, 6-0. Senior

William Smith will be back in action when they head to the Liberty League Tournament this weekend as the three seed. The matches will take place at the Reis Tennis Center in Ithaca, N.Y. William Smith will face sixth-seeded Ithaca (3-13, 3-5) Friday, May 3, at 11:30 a.m. in Friday's first round match up.
