ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. — The Hobart College tennis team defeated Union 8-1 this afternoon and swept Bard 9-0 this evening. The Statesmen improve to 8-3 overall and 4-0 in the Liberty League.
In the afternoon, Hobart led Union 3-0 at the conclusion of doubles play. Junior

Walker Anderson tallied a win at No. 1 besting Austin Egna and Max Egna 8-7 (7-5). Junior

Jack Ledford notched a win at No. 3, 8-1 over Cameron Klepper and Nick Weitzman. Senior
Jonathan Atwater and first-year
Thomas Shung bested Ioannis Binopoulos and David Bond 8-7 (7-4) in the No. 2 spot.
The Statesmen clinched the match in singles play. Anderson bested Klepper 6-3, 6-3 at No. 3. Dubrovsky defeated Binopoulos 6-4, 6-3 in the No. 1 spot. Ledford tallied a win a No. 4 over Max Egna 6-1, 3-6, 6-1. Junior
Joe Mallon bested Kaplan 6-1, 3-6, 6-0 at No. 6. Shung fell to Austin Egna 5-7, 6-1, 0-1 (7-10) in the No. 5 spot.
In the evening, the Statesmen ended doubles play with a 3-0 lead over Bard. Dubrovsky and Anderson swept Satchel Fisher and Immanuel Zion 8-0 in the No. 1 spot. Molloy and Ledford swept Zayd Normand and Isaac Rosenthal at No. 2, 8-0. Shung and Mallon swept Daniyal Zafar and Charvez Johnson 8-0 at No. 3.
The Statesmen clinched the match in singles play. Dubrovsky defeated Fisher 6-2, 6-0 in the No. 1 spot. Dubrovsky is 20-4 in singles play this season. Anderson, Ledford, Shung, Mallon, and Malloy swept Bard 6-0, 6-0, at Nos. 2,3,4,5, and 6 respectively.
The Statesmen will be back in action tomorrow, Sunday, April 7, when they travel to Saratoga Spring, N.Y. to take on Skidmore College. The match is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
