HENRIETTA, N.Y. —The William Smith College swimming and diving team lost 187-86 in a meet against Rochester Institute of Technology this evening. Senior
Anna Leffler led the Herons, winning two individual events.
Leffler won the 1,000-yard freestyle by 13 seconds. She touched the wall at 11:14.75. Leffler also finished first in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:15.42. Leffler had a strong performance in the 200 breaststroke, finishing in second. Leffler recorded a time of 2:34.6.
Sophomore
Robin Kirchgessner touched the wall first in the 200 butterfly, clocking in at 2:18.41. Kirchgessner finished second in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 29.47.
Sophomore
Emily Mink added another first place finish for the Herons, touching the wall first in the 500-yard freestyle. Mink posted a time of 5:29.84.
William Smith ended the meet with a win in the 200-yard freestyle relay. First-year
Avery Palma, Mink, Leffler, and junior
Katie Neff clocked in at 1:49.39.
The Herons will be back in action Saturday, Feb. 1, when they welcome Cazenovia and Wells to Bristol Pool. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
