Camels edge Statesmen 5-4

AMHERST, Mass.—The No. 34 Hobart College squash team fell 5-4 to No. 27 Connecticut College this evening in its first match of the 2020 Pioneer Invitational.
 
Junior Quinn Udy and senior Mo Abdelhafez won in three games at Nos. 1 and 2 respectively. Udy is 5-4 overall this season. First-year Giacomo Dalle Molle battled to win in five games at No. 3, winning the fifth game 12-10. Classmate James Mazzarelli fell in his second game, but won the next two at No. 4 to win his third consecutive match.
 
The Statesmen will be back in action tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 25 when they play No. 22 Amherst at 10 a.m., and Haverford at 3 p.m. to wrap up the Pioneer Invitational in Amherst, Mass.
