AMHERST, Mass. —The No. 34 Hobart College squash team fell to No. 30 Haverford 7-2 and No. 22 Amherst 9-0 today at the 2020 Pioneer Invitational.
In the match against the Fords, junior
Quinn Udy defeated Davis Chase 11-8, 12-10, 11-7 in the No. 1 spot. Sophomore
Quran Davis battled back in five games winning 8-11, 10-12, 11-9, 11-9, 11-9 in the No. 7 spot. First-year
James Mazzarelli fell in four games 7-11, 11-6, 11-8, 11-2 in the No. 4 spot. Sophomore
Cameron Temoyan fell in four games 11-3, 11-6, 9-11, 11-6 at No. 5. Sophomore
Eric Molina fell at No. 6, 10-12, 4-11, 12-10, 11-6, 11-7.
In the match against the Mammoths, Udy fell 8-11, 11-5, 11-7, 11-3 at No. 1. Amherst won the next eight matches in three games.
The Statesmen will be back in action next Friday, Jan. 31 when they host Colby at the Smith Squash Center. The match is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
