Hobart College will take on Wagner College in a Northeast Conference men's lacrosse showdown on Tuesday, April 27. The game, which is slated to start at 1 p.m., will be webcast on NEC Front Row and broadcast on WHWS-FM (105.7 in Geneva).

The game will be the seventh meeting between the two programs. The Statesmen have won each of the past six meetings. Hobart (4-2, 4-2 NEC) can lock up a spot in the four-team NEC tournament with a win over the Seahawks (1-6, 1-4).

Hobart is coming off a 14-10 win over Merrimack on Saturday. The Statesmen outshot the Warriors 50-37, had a 34-18 advantage in ground balls and won 19-of-27 faceoffs. Junior
Derrek Madonna scored a career-high five goals and added an assist to pace the offense.

Hobart is ranked in the top 25 in the nation in four statistical categories. The Statesmen are sixth in saves per game (14.83), 11th in faceoff winning percentage (.629), 19th in winning percentage (.667) and 25th in scoring offense (12.5).

Senior Philip Burque leads Wagner with 17 goals and 18 points. Senior Nic Ancona and junior Tyler Lawton share the team lead with seven assists apiece. Sophomore goalie Danny Brady has a .521 save percentage, a 15.67 GAA, a 1-6 record and a team-high 22 ground balls.
