Dan Ryan earned Scholar All-American honors while the Statesmen collected the team all-academic award.

A USILA Scholar All-American must be nominated by his coach in his senior year and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (4.0 scale). He must have behaved in a manner that has brought credit to himself, his institution, and to college lacrosse both on and off the field. He must also be an All-American, a member of a North/South team, or an outstanding league or conference player. The USILA Team All-Academic Award is presented to teams with a 3.0 or higher GPA.

Both Archer and Ryan competed as graduate students for Hobart. They graduated in May with master's degrees in management. They earned bachelor's degrees in 2021 from Hobart, Archer in psychology and Ryan in economics. Ryan is a five-time NEC Academic Honor Roll selection and the 2022 NEC Men's Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

With 26 goals, 35 assists and 61 points in 13 games, Archer led the Northeast Conference in assists per game (2.69) and points per game (4.69). One of the top playmakers in the country, the All-NEC first team selection ranked seventh in the nation in assists per game and 12th in points per game. Archer's assists and points totals both rank second on Hobart's Division I era season lists. The two-time NEC Player of the Week produced a career-high nine points on three goals and a career-high six assists in a win over LIU this year.

In 57 career games, Archer logged 87 goals and 99 points for 186 points. He holds the program's DI era record for assists, is second in points and tied for eighth in goals. Archer also earned first team All-NEC recognition in 2021 and garnered second team honors in 2018.

Ryan was also a first team All-NEC pick this season. He played in 12 games this season, collecting 20 ground balls (3rd on the team) and 11 caused turnovers (2nd). Ryan posted a season-high four ground balls and a season-high four caused turnovers in the win over Mount St. Mary's. He opened the season with two goals, three ground balls and a caused turnover in the win over Canisius.

In 55 career games, Ryan had three goals, six assists, 61 ground balls and 25 caused turnovers. He is 10th on Hobart's all-time caused turnovers list.

Hobart finished the 2022 season with a 7-6 overall record, the program's fourth straight winning season. The Statesmen won the final four games of the regular season to finish third in the NEC standings. Hobart picked up a fifth consecutive win with a 21-5 victory over second-seeded Bryant in the NEC Tournament semifinals before falling to nationally-ranked Saint Joseph's in the championship. Hobart placed 26 players on the NEC Academic Honor Roll (3.2 cumulative GPA or higher) and a program record 10 on the NEC Commissioner's Honor Roll (3.75 cumulative GPA or higher).

Since 1989, 12 Statesmen have earned USILA Scholar All-American honors.
