EWING, N.J.— The William Smith College tennis team fell 9-0 this evening to regional foe, The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). The Herons suffer their first loss of the season, falling to 2-1 while the Lions moves to 5-1.
The Lions took command of the match in doubles play. TCNJ won 8-2 in both the No. 2 and No. 3 spots with wins over senior
Audrey Camacho and sophomore
Julia Pida as well as first-year
Marin Montagne and sophomore
Natalie Haythorn.

Haley Levine and sophomore
Isabelle Goings-Perrot fell in the No. 1 spot, 8-4, to the 10th ranked team in the region, Charlotte Roarty and Jenny Landells.
TCNJ won the first four single matches in straight sets to secure the overall match. Goings-Perrot put up a good fight at the No. 1 spot against Roarty but was edged 0-6, 6-7 (0-7) in the closest singles match of the day.

William Smith will be back in action tomorrow as it heads New York City to take on the Violets of New York University (NYU). First serve between the Herons and the Violets is set for 1 p.m. in the Stadium Tennis Center.
