Maddy Buck clinched the victory for the Herons for the second time in her rookie campaign.
In doubles action, William Smith won two out of three matches to grab the early lead. Sophomore
Isabelle Goings-Perrot and
Haley Levine defeated Alyssa Merletti and Sydney Dattilo, 8-4, at the No. 1 position, while senior
Audrey Camacho and sophomore
Julia Pida defeated Alexis Salgueiro and Brianna Ali, 8-2, at the No. 2 spot.
The Herons came out firing in their singles matches, winning all six points available in the match. Goings-Perrot defeated Izzy Foster in a thrilling match at the No.1 spot, 6-3, 3-6, 10-8, as well as Levine at the No. 2 spot against Dattilo, winning 6-1, 4-6, 10-6.
At the No. 3 position, Camacho defeated Merletti 7-6 (7-4), 6-4, while sophomore
Natalie Haythorn won her second singles match of the week against Brianna Ali at the No. 4 spot in straight sets. Pida downed Salgueiro in the No. 5 spot, 6-1,6-2. First-year
Maddy Buck clinched the victory in the No. 6 spot, as she defeated Taylor Glover in straight sets, 6-3, 6-0.
