ORLANDO, Fla.—The William Smith College tennis team was clipped this afternoon, 5-4, in a tight matchup with Salisbury University (7-3) at the USTA National Campus in Orlando.

Julia Pida earned the point for the Herons with their second straight victory in the No. 2 spot. The duo defeated Elizabeth Chrstine and Sarah Cooper, 8-4.

Haley Levine fell in a thriller, 8-7 (7-5) to Katheine Tamesis and Olivia Hall.
In singles play, the Herons and the Sea Gulls shared the points, 3-3, ending the match in a 5-4 decision in favor of Salisbury. Levine downed Christine in straight sets at the No. 2 position, 6-4, 6-1, as well as Camacho against Cooper at the No. 3 spot, 6-1, 6-2.
First-year
Maddy Buck defeated Leah Osmon at the No. 6 position in an exciting match, 7-5, 6-4. Buck now moves to 3-0 in singles play this season.

William Smith will wrap up their series of matches in Orlando, Fla. tomorrow, March 23, against St. Catherine University (3-5). First serve between the Herons and the Wildcats is set for 8 a.m.
