- RMU sandwiched goals around Considine's first tally to make it 3-2 with just over seven minutes left in the opening quarter.
- The Statesmen broke the game open with five straight goals, spanning the first and second quarters. Three of the five strikes came courtesy of the extra-man unit, giving the visitors an 8-2 lead with 6:11 left in the half.
- The Colonials scored the final four goals of the half to make it an 8-6 game going into the locker room. Dattellas had five points (3-2) at the break.
- Dattellas opened the second half scoring as well, netting his team-leading 15th goal of the season for a 9-6 Hobart lead.
- RMU scored back-to-back goals midway through the third quarter to again make it a one-goal game, but Chad Bach stopped the run, giving Hobart a 10-8 lead going into the final 15 minutes.
- Sophomore Alex Rosa opened the fourth quarter scoring for the Statesmen before Burr tallied consecutive goals 22 seconds apart to pull it back to a one-goal game.
- Bach and Considine scored in succession for Hobart for a 13-10 lead midway through the frame.
- Again, the Colonials scored two quick goals, this time 20 seconds apart, to trim Hobart's lead to one with 5:19 to go.
- It remained a one-goal game over the next three minutes with Sotiropoulos saving a shot by Burr to preserve the lead.
- Graduate student Bradley Simas, set up by Dattellas, gave Hobart an insurance goal at the 1:41 mark.
- Hobart was called for a tripping penalty with 72 seconds left, but RMU wasn't able to cash in on the opportunity before drawing an unsportsmanlike penalty with 40 seconds remaining. The Statesmen were able to run out the clock from there.
