WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y.— The William Smith College tennis team topped Bard College last night, 9-0, to open Liberty League Play. The Herons move to 6-4 overall and 1-0 in the Liberty League, while the Raptors fall to 2-8 with an 0-5 mark in conference play.
The Herons took a 3-0 lead in doubles action, earning all three available points. Sophomore

Haley Levine defeated Nico Gusac and Maya Kelly in the No. 1 spot, 8-3. At the No. 2 spot, sophomore

Jamie Fine swept Lapis Dove and Victoria Bagatcholon 8-0 in the third positon.

Julia Pida topped Dove, 6-1, 6-0, at the No. 3 position.
Fine defeated Reis, 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 4 spot and is now 5-1 this season in singles action. At the No. 5 spot, Montagne bested Houghton, 6-0, 6-2, while sophomore
Mia Tetrault downed Bagatcholon, 6-3, 6-0 at No. 6 in her first ever collegiate match.
