SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.— The William Smith College tennis team was topped by No. 29 Skidmore College, 8-1, this afternoon. The Herons fall to 6-5 overall and 1-1 in the Liberty League, while the Thoroughbreds move to 8-4 overall, with a 5-0 mark in conference play.
The Thoroughbreds took an early lead, winning two out of the three doubles matches. Sophomore

Haley Levine earned the point for the Herons at the No. 1 spot, defeating Maya Lal and Chanhtel Thongphok, 8-5. Levine and Goings-Perrot are now 9-4 in the No. 1 spot in doubles play.
Skidmore extended its lead in singles action, winning all six matches. Sophomore
Julia Pida put up a good fight at the No. 6 spot against Katelyn Corpuz, 6-2, 6-3 in the closest singles match of the day.

William Smith will be back in action tomorrow as it takes on Union College (5-4) in Schenectady, N.Y. for its third and final match of the weekend. First serve between the Heron and the Dutchwomen is set for 11 a.m.
