ITHACA, N.Y.— The Hobart College tennis team defeated Ithaca College this afternoon, 6-3, in a Liberty League matchup on the road. The Statesmen move to 11-4 overall and 3-1 in conference play, while the Bombers fall to 6-7 overall and 1-4 in the Liberty League.

Sean Pesin clipped Siddharth Vaada and Jimin Woo, 8-6, at the No. 1 spot, while first-year's Nick Fisher and
Aidan Staunton downed Jacob Wachs and Ean Lantzy, 8-6, at the No. 3 spot.
The Statesmen secured the match in singles action, earning four out of the six singles points. Sophomore
Hyat Oyer downed Wachs at the No. 3 spot, 6-1, 6-0, for his 10th consecutive win in singles play.
At the No. 4 spot, Fischer swept Woo in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0, as well as sophomore
Jacob Linares against Carlos Hernandez at No. 5, 6-4, 6-1.
Sophomore
Nick Grosso earned his second clinch of the week, defeating Lantzy, 6-1, 6-0, at the No. 6 spot. Grosso moves to 7-1 in singles play on the season.

Hobart will be back in action at home on Sunday, April 16, when it takes on No. 37 Vassar College. Vassar is 9-3 overall and 3-3 in the Liberty League. First serve between the Statesmen and the Brewers is set for 11 a.m. at HWS Tennis Center.
