  • William Smith opened the scoring just 42 seconds into the game when the Herons were awarded a penalty corner. Senior Libby Maxwell sent the ball to junior Hannah Huston who set up Mantione to rip the ball into the back of the goal.
  • The Herons would double the lead with 34 seconds left in the opening quarter as senior Lauren Jackson finished off a scramble in front of the net after another penalty corner. Jackson would record her ninth goal of her career and first of the season, while Mantione was credited with the assist.

  • The Cardinals would strike back just nine minutes later as Molly Fisher snuck a low shot by senior goalie Brittany Foster. Emma Cooper was credited with the assist.
  • Less than a minute later St. John Fisher would strike again, this time from Cooper. Cooper chipped a long distance shot over the rushing goalie to cut the Cardinals deficit to one.
