ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.—Hobart first-year
Brady Leitner scored twice as the Statesmen down Bard 3-1 to record their fourth straight victory. With the win, Hobart is now 5-5-4 overall this season with a 4-2-2 mark in conference play.
Sophomore
Keegan Mulroony added a goal and an assist to finish the game with three points. Junior
Thomas Chyzowych played all 90 minutes in goal. He made five saves.
Reed Campbell scored for the Raptors (5-9-1, 0-7-1). Will Beane-Rosenberg played all 90 minutes in goal and made five saves.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Hobart finished the game with an 18-11 advantage in shots, including an 8-6 edge in shots on goal.
- Bard had seven corner kicks and the Statesmen had three.
MATCH MOMENTS
- Hobart opened the scoring in the fourth minute. Leitner fired home a centering pass from Mulroony into the back of the net. It was the second goal of the season for Leitner.
- Mulrooy scored what would prove to be the game-winning goal in the 26th minute. Following a throw-in, a Bard defender tried to clear the ball off of the goal line, but it only went to the edge of the six-yard box where Mulroony headed the ball into the back of the net. It was his first goal of the season.
- Leitner notched his second goal of the game in the 76th minute. He ran onto a through ball from Matheus Souza and chipped a shot over the Bard goalie. It was his third goal of the season.
- Reed Campbell broke up the shutout bid in the 89th minute. He collected a bouncing ball in the box and chipped it over Chyzowych for his first goal of the season was unassisted.

Hobart will be back in action on Tuesday, Oct. 29, when it takes on Buffalo State. The non-conference contest is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
