GORHAM, Maine—The William Smith ice hockey team shut out the University of Southern Maine 2-0 in a New England Hockey Conference contest at the USM Ice Arena this afternoon. With the win, the Herons earned a split of the weekend series with the Huskies and are now 3-3-0 on the season with a 3-1-0 mark in conference play.

Erin Murray played all 60 minutes in goal and made 17 saves.
Haley McKim made 29 saves in goal for the Huskies (3-2-1, 2-1-1).
SCORING SUMMARY
- Hacker opened the scoring at the 7:30 mark of the second period. She collected a loose puck and fired a shot past McKim. It was her second goal of the season.
