NORTHFIELD, Vt.—The William Smith hockey team was defeated by 14th-ranked Norwich 4-0 in a New England Hockey Conference contest at Kreitzberg Arena this evening.
Senior
Erin Murray started in goal and made 24 saves in 45 minutes of work. Sophomore
Mia Iwicki played the final 15 minutes and made eight saves.
Livia Brooks scored twice to lead Norwich. Leocadia Clark played all 60 minutes in goal for the Cadets and made 16 saves as she earned the shutout.

- William Smith is now 3-4-0 overall this season with a 3-2-0 mark in conference play.

SCORING SUMMARY
- Norwich opened the scoring at the 9:01 mark of the second period. Livia Brooks snuck a shot from the right faceoff circle past Murray for her second goal of the season. The goal was assisted by Anna Lisac and Jordan Brady.
- The Cadets doubled their lead with less than two minutes remaining in the middle stanza. Breanna Ricker slipped a shot from the low slot past Murray. Her second goal of the season was assisted by Olivia Boyer and Taylor Girouard.
- Brooks notched her second goal of the game 52 seconds into the third period. It was an unassisted goal.
- Four minutes later, Sophia Nelson added an insurance goal. Her first goal of the season was assisted by Libby Lane and Marja Linzbichler.
