The 11th-ranked William Smith soccer team will face ninth-ranked Washington and Lee in an NCAA tournament third round game hosted by Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 1 p.m.
The 14th-ranked Royals will host Trinity (Texas) at 3:30 p.m. The advancing teams will meet on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 3 p.m.
Tickets will cost $10 for adults and $5 for seniors, students and children 3 and up. In-person ticket sales on gameday will be cash only. No pets will be allowed inside the University of Scranton soccer facility. Fans unable to make it to the game can follow the action online with live stats courtesy of HWSathletics.com. The game will be webcast on the NCAA Championships Pass page. WHWS (105.7) will broadcast the game.
The Herons are 14-3-4 overall this season. William Smith beat Penn State Harrisburg 2-1 in the first round and then defeated seventh-ranked Tufts 2-1 in the second round to advance to Saturday's game. The Herons, who are making a record 34th appearance in the NCAA tournament, have advanced to the sectional round for the eighth time in the last nine seasons.

Lindsay Ringbloom are tied for the team lead with six goals each. They are second with 13 points. Graduate student
Kirsten Nelson has started all 21 games. She has a 0.68 GAA and a .816 save percentage and nine shutouts.
Washington and Lee is 20-1-1 overall. The General defeated Virginia Wesleyan 1-0 to claim the ODAC's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Washington and Lee beat Farmingdale State 3-0 and Ohio Northern 2-0 to secure a spot in the sectional round. Sarah Zimmerman leads the Generals with 14 goals, nine assists and 37 points. Abby Graff has played the majority of the minutes in goal she has a .923 save percentage and a 0.16 GAA. She is second in the nation in GAA and fourth in save percentage.
Saturday's game will be the second all-time meeting and second time this season between William Smith and Washington and Lee. The Generals won 2-0 on August 31 in Geneva.
