GENEVA, N.Y.—The top-ranked Hobart hockey team scored four goals in the third period as it knocked off Potsdam 6-0 in a non-conference contest at The Cooler this afternoon. With the win Hobart is now 2-0-0 to start the season.

Lenny Perno made 38 saves in 60 minutes of action in goal for Potsdam (1-1-0).

- Hobart extended its winning streak to 16 games and its unbeaten streak to 27 games (26-0-1).

SCORING SUMMARY
- Hobart opened the scoring at the 9:21 mark of the opening period. Remick fired a shot from a tight angle that snuck past Perno for his first collegiate goal. First-year Josh Doolan and senior Matthew Iasenza had assists on the goal.
- Sophomore Chris Duclair gave Hobart a 2-0 lead just over a minute into the second period. He fired a shot from the right past Perno. The power-play goal was assisted by Bauer Morrissey and Toth.
- Daniels notched his first goal of the game at the 3:51 mark of the third period. He collected a pass from graduate student Austin Mourar and deked around the goalie and slid a backhanded shot across the goal line.
- Remick made it a four goal game just under a minute later. His second goal of the game was assisted by Toth and first-year Connor Elliot. He slid a shot from the low slot through the goalie's legs and into the back of the net.
- Sophomore Connor Lally and Daniels put the game out of reach with goals 98 seconds apart. Lally's goal was an unassisted goal and Daniels' shorthanded tally was assisted by Shane Shell.
UP NEXT
Hobart will be back in action next weekend when it begins New England Hockey Conference play. The Statesmen will travel to Rutland, Vermont, to take on Vermont State University Castleton.
