Tanner Daniels scored twice as the top-ranked Hobart hockey team defeated Salve Regina 3-2 in a New England Hockey Conference contest at Howard Rink this afternoon. With the win, the Statesmen are now 8-0-0 overall this season with a 6-0-0 mark in conference play.
Daniels was one of six Statesmen to find his way onto the scoresheet. Junior
Mavrick Goyer started in goal and made 17 saves.
Walter Baumann and Arvega Hovsepyan scored for the Seahawks (4-3-0, 3-3-0). Cayden Bailey played 59 minutes in goal and made a career-high 51 saves.
STREAKING
- With tonight's win, Hobart has won 22 straight games. That is tied for the sixth longest streak in NCAA Division III History.
- The Statesmen are unbeaten in their last 33 contests (32-0-1).

- Hobart regained the lead at the 3:34 mark of the third period. Brandon Sacchetti snapped a shot from the slot past Bailey. His first goal of the season was assisted by Heikki Virtanen and Ryan Remick.
