GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith senior
Annabel Ziskin scored two goals in the third period as the Heron ice hockey team skated to a 6-0 victory over Albertus Magnus in a New England Hockey Conference contest at The Cooler this afternoon. With the win, William Smith improved to 2-2-0 on the season and is 2-0-0 in league play.
Ziskin was one of five Herons to finish with a multi-point game. She added an assist to finish the game with three points. She shared game-high honors with
Lauren Legler (1g, 2a). Sophomore
Allie Cimis (1g, 1a), graduate student
Mackenzie O'Neil (2a) and junior
Fiona Gallagher (2a) finished with two points each. Sophomore
Mia Iwicki started in goal and made 21 saves as she recorded the shutout.
Jess Trocchio played all 60 minutes in goal for Albertus Magnus (1-2-1, 0-2-0). She made 37 saves.

SCORING SUMMARY
- William Smith opened the scoring at the 6:43 mark of the second period. Kelly Howe collected a rebound in the slot and flipped a shot past Trocchio for her first goal of the season. Cimis and junior Seneca Urban were awarded assists on the goal.
- Cimis added a goal of her own just under seven minutes later. She collected a drop pass from senior Kayla Ketchabaw in the left faceoff circle and fired a shot from a tight angle off a Falcon defender and into the net. Legler was also awarded an assist after winning a faceoff to Ketchabaw.
- Ziskin extended William Smith's lead to three goals just over eight minutes into the second period. She wristed a shot from the right faceoff circle through the goalie's legs. O'Neil and Gallagher had helpers on the tally.
- Three minutes later, first-year Rowan Kennedy notched her first collegiate goal. She redirected a centering pass from fellow first-year Madeline Diglio across the goal line. O'Neil also had a helper after starting the play in the defensive end.
- Eight-four seconds later, Legler notched her first goal of the year. She snapped a shot from the high slot past Trocchio. Ziskin had an assist on the tally.
- Ziskin talked on an insurance goal with 35 seconds left in regulation. She blasted a shot from the point for her third goal of the year. Legler and Gallagher had assists on the goal.
ROAD WARRIORS
William Smith will be back in action next weekend, Nov. 15-16, when it heads to Gorham, Maine to take on Southern Maine. The weekend series against the Huskies begins a seven-game road trip for the Herons.
