The William Smith tennis team will host Oneonta this Sunday, March 3. The match is set to begin at noon at the HWS Tennis Center.

William Smith looks to gain its first win of the season after an 8-1 loss to Smith College last weekend. Sophomore
Marin Montagne earned the lone point for the Herons with a win in the No. 6 singles spot. William Smith put up a fight in doubles play last weekend with two pairs extending their matches to a third-set tiebreaker.

SUNY Oneonta is 0-2 this spring, most recently losing 9-0 to St. Lawrence. The Red Dragons finished the fall portion of their schedule with a record of 5-9.

This will be the 18th time William Smith has played Oneonta. The Herons look to earn their 18th consecutive win against the Red Dragons.

- Sophomore Haley Levine leads the Herons in singles wins with four. She also plays a significant role in doubles and led the team alongside junior Natalie Haythorn in the fall.
- First-year Mae Kellersman is 2-2 in singles and 2-3 in doubles matches with classmate Grace Magna.

- Julia Holtermann leads the Red Dragons with a singles record of 7-8. Most recently Holtermann lost 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 1 spot against her opponent from St. Lawrence.
- Brianna Shaw is at the No. 2 spot with a record of 7-4.
- Playing at the No.1 doubles spot for the Red Dragons is Holterman and Shaw who are 1-1 this spring. Â
