ORLANDO, Fla.—The William Smith tennis team closed out action this morning in its spring break trip to Florida with a nonconference matchup with Luther College. The Herons fell 6-3 to the Norse and fall to 2-5 on the season.

Haley Levine and junior
Isabelle Goings-Perrot defeated Sofia Sackett and Natalia Smith 8-3 in the No. 1 spot. The duo is now 3-3 on the season in the No. 1 position. Junior
Julia Pida and first-year
Mae Kellersman fell in a tight matchup in the No. 3 spot, falling to Riley O'Donnell and Julia Moreno 8-7 (7-3).
The Herons earned two points in single play despite four matches going into tie breaker scenarios. Levine continued to impress in the No. 1 spot, defeating Sackett 6-4, 5-7, 10-8, for her second win of the day. She is now 3-3 this season in the No. 1 position. Junior
Natalie Haythorn grabbed William Smith's last point of the day as she defeated Julianna Mascardo 6-1, 6-3, in the No. 3 spot. She is now 3-4 in dual matches this season.
Goings-Perrot, Kellersman and sophomore
Marin Montagne all fell in thrilling tiebreaker matches this morning despite strong efforts. Goings-Perrot fell to Lena Lichau in the No. 2 spot, 1-6, 6-4, 6-10, while Kellersman fell to O'Donnell 6-3, 4-6, 6-10, in the No. 4 spot. Montagne suffered her first loss of the season as she fell to Montserrat Ramirez-Mainou, 6-3, 4-6, 9-11, in the No. 6 spot.
