The William Smith tennis team will host No. 33 Vassar on Saturday, March 23, to open Liberty League play. The conference matchup between the Herons and the Brewers is set for 10 a.m. in Bristol Field House.
William Smith (2-5) is coming off a 1-2 week in Orlando, Florida. The Herons defeated Oglethorpe 8-1 before falling to Wisconsin-Eau Claire 7-2 and Luther 6-3.
Vassar brings a 5-3 record to Geneva and is coming off an 8-1 win over Bates on Thursday.
ABOUT THE HERONS
- Sophomore Marin Montagne is 3-1 in dual matches this season including a 2-1 record in the No. 6 spot.
- Junior Natalie Haythorn is 3-4 in singles play and is 2-2 in the No. 2 spot.
- Junior Isabelle Goings-Perrot and sophomore Haley Levine lead the Herons in doubles action and are 3-2 on the season from the No. 1 spot.
