The William Smith tennis team will host The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) Saturday, March 9. First serve is set for 10 a.m. in Bristol Field House. Match time is subject to change to 9 a.m. due to court restrictions. Check hwsathletics.com for updates. 
 
The Herons are coming off an 8-1 win over SUNY Oneonta last weekend. William Smith swept its doubles matches and won five of six points available in singles play to earn its first victory of the season.  
 
The Lions are 2-0 in their spring season and 5-0 overall. Most recently, TCNJ defeated RIT 8-1 last weekend.  
 
This will be the 12th time William Smith and TCNJ have faced off. The Lions have been victorious in all 11 previous meetings.
 
ABOUT THE HERONS 
 

• Sophomore Haley Levine leads the Herons in singles wins with four. She also plays a significant role in doubles and secured her first doubles win this season with Isabelle Goings-Perot against SUNY Oneonta in the No.1 spot. 
• Junior Natalie Haythorn leads in doubles wins and most recently dominated with classmate Julia Pida against their opponent from Oneonta at the No. 2 spot, winning 8-2.    
• Sophomore Marin Montagne is riding a two-match win streak in singles play. She is 1-0 in both the No. 5 and No. 6 positions in dual matches this season.
• Sophomore Maddy Buck is 2-0 in dual matches this season. Both wins came from the No. 6 spot.

 
ABOUT THE LIONS 

• Aira Abalos is 3-2 in singles matches this season at the No.1 spot. Abalos also plays in the No. 2 spot in doubles and has a record of 5-0 with Marcella Warner. 
• Zoey Albert is 5-0 in both singles and doubles matches, playing at the No. 2 spot for singles and No. 1 position in doubles with Chase Eisenberg.  
• Eisenberg is 4-1 in the No. 3 singles position.
