GENEVA, N.Y.—The William Smith tennis team hosted The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) in a nonconference match this morning in Bristol Field House. The Herons fell 9-0 to the Lions and fall to 1-3 on the season. TCNJ remains undefeated and moves to 6-0 this season.
The Lions took all three available doubles points this morning despite strong efforts by the Herons. Junior
Isabelle Goings-Perrot and sophomore
Haley Levine fell 8-6 to Zoey Albert and Chase Eisenberg in the No. 1 spot. In the No. 3 position, first-years
Grace Magna and
Mae Kellersman forced a tiebreaker against Gabriella Robinson and Prisha Priyadarshini, but ultimately fell 8-7 (7-3).
TCNJ also swept the singles matches against William Smith to earn its sixth victory of the season. Levine posted the closest singles match of the day, falling to Aira Abalos in the No. 1 spot, 6-2, 7-6 (7-5). Junior
Natalie Haythorn put up a fight in the No. 4 position as she fell to Priyadarshini 6-4, 6-0.

William Smith will be back in action on Sunday, March 17, when it heads to Orlando, Florida, for its spring break trip that consists of three matches. The Herons will take on Oglethorpe University at noon on Sunday to kick off the action-packed week.
