The William Smith tennis team will be back in action this weekend with two nonconference home matches. The Herons will take on SUNY Geneseo Saturday, April 20, followed by a matchup with Hartwick on Sunday. Both matches are set to begin at noon.

The Herons are 5-11 this season and are coming off an action-packed weekend that saw William Smith go 1-2. The Herons defeated Bard 9-0 and lost to No. 37 NYU 8-1 and RPI 8-1.

The Knights are 8-4 this season and are coming off a month-long hiatus. Their last match was on March 14 in Florida, where Geneseo defeated Illinois Wesleyan 8-1. The Knights will take on the University of Rochester on Friday before heading to Geneva Saturday.

The Hawks are 9-4 on the season and will head to SUNY New Paltz on Saturday before coming to Geneva Sunday. The Hawks' last match was on Oct. 13, when Hartwick fell 5-4 to St. John Fisher in the Empire 8 Tournament semifinals.

- Sophomore Marin Montagne is 7-5 in singles play. She's played in four of the six spots in the order.

- Jade Killikelly is 10-2 in dual matches this season in the No. 2 spot and is riding a nine-match win streak.
- Phoebe Olson leads Hartwick from the No. 1 singles position and is 8-5 on the season.
- Maggie Van Valkenburgh has chipped in a 9-1 record in dual matches this season and is 8-0 in the No. 6 spot.
- Olson and Killikelly are 7-5 in dual matches this season in the No. 1 position.
- Colleen Marsh and Gianna Leggieri are 6-1 in the No. 3 doubles position.

- Saturday's matchup will be the 19th meeting between the Herons and the Knights. William Smith holds a 17-1 advantage in the series, including a 9-1 record in Geneva.
