GENEVA, N.Y.—The Hobart basketball team will play its first home game in nearly a month when the Statesmen return to Bristol Gymnasium on Saturday, Jan. 4. Hobart will host Liberty League leading Rensselaer with the opening tipoff scheduled for 4 p.m.
The game will be broadcast live on WHWS-FM (105.7) and webcast on HWS All-Access.

- Hobart picked up road wins over Utica and SUNY Maritime to close out the 2024 portion of its schedule with a 7-3 record. Three games into the 18-game Liberty League schedule, the Statesmen are 1-2.
- Rensselaer is 9-1 overall and looking to rebound from its first loss of the season, a 74-62 setback at St. John Fisher on Dec. 30. The Engineers are 3-0 in conference play.

- Hobart's starting lineup features two 3-point shooting marksmen. Senior Aidan Rodgers (.448) and Moesch (.423) are both connecting from distance at a clip greater than 42%.
- Senior Carter Meshanic is first in the Liberty League in total rebounds (87) and second in rebounds per game (8.7).
- RPI's starting lineup features a pair of double digit scorers, led by Dylan Matchett's 10.2 ppg.
- The Engineers have a stifling defense that includes four players with 11 or more steals. Chuck Clemons leads the quartet with 20 thefts.
