Hobart junior
Alex Moesch represented the Statesmen on the 2025-26 U.S. Basketball Writers Association Rochester Area first team. It's the second year in a row that the shooting guard has been honored by the local chapter of the USBWA.

Moesch played in all 25 games this season, starting 24. He led Hobart in scoring (14.9), free throw percentage (.873) and 3-pointers made (54). Moesch also added 5.2 rpg, 2.1 apg and 1.2 spg. The Statesmen played three games this season against 2026 NCAA tournament teams and he averaged 15.7 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 2.3 apg, and 2.0 spg in those three contests.

Moesch reached double digits in scoring 22 times this year, including career-high 30 points against Liberty League regular season champion RPI. He also grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds in that game for his first career double-double. Moesch made his most clutch shot of the season against Liberty League Tournament Champion Vassar. With 1.8 seconds left in regulation and the game tied, he made a short jumper over a 6-foot-8 defender to give Hobart the win.

In 79 career games, Moesch has 985 points (12.5 ppg), 293 rebounds (3.7 rpg), 90 assists (1.1 apg) and 65 steals (0.8 spg). He's made at least 50 3-pointers in each of his three seasons at Hobart and is seventh on Hobart's career list with 155.

Moesch was also elected to the All-Liberty League second team this season after earning third team recognition as a sophomore. Moesch earned a spot on the Liberty League Weekly Honor Roll five this season.

Hobart finished the season 14-11 overall, 8-10 in the Liberty League.
