POTSDAM, N.Y.—Hobart sophomore forward
Danny Spataro scored in the 78th minute as the 25th-ranked Hobart soccer team knocked off Clarkson 1-0 in a Liberty League contest at Hantz Field this afternoon. The win was the 350th career victory for the Thomas B. Poole '61 and Family Head Coach of Hobart Soccer

Tommy Chyzowych played all 90 minutes in goal as he earned his fourth shutout of the season.
Carter Kladstrup played 90 minutes in goal for the Golden Knights and made seven saves.

- With today's win, Griffin is now 350-192-69 as a head coach. He is 258-147-60 during his time as the head coach for the Statesmen.

MATCH MOMENTS
- Hobart had its first two chances of the game in the 12th minute. Sophomore Will Slayton fired a shot from the top of the 18-yard box that was turned aside by Kladstrup. Thirty seconds later, Senior Quinn Phillips fired a shot on goal that was smothered by the Clarkson goalie.
- In the 33rd minute, Kladstrup made a diving stop on a shot from Phillips.
- Clarkson's first shot of the game came in the 41st minute. Lars Stephensson's shot was blocked by a Hobart defender.
- Phillips had another dangerous chance in the 55th minute that was turned aside by a diving Kladstrup.
- Hobart broke the deadlock on Spataro's first Hobart goal. He collected a Spataro throw in in the 18-yard box and chipped a shot over the Clarkson goalie. Slayton had an assist on the tally.

Hobart will be back in action Wednesday, Oct. 8, when it heads to Ithaca to conclude its three-game road trip. The Liberty League contest is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
