Lynchburg enters the tournament with a 26-4 overall record and is ranked No. 25 in the AVCA poll. The Hornets secured an at-large bid after falling to Bridgewater 3-2 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference semifinals. Lynchburg will be making its first NCAA appearance in program history. It will be the first meeting between William Smith and Lynchburg.
