BABSON PARK, Mass.—The top-ranked Hobart hockey team and Babson skated to a 0-0 tie in a New England Hockey Conference contest at the Babson Skating Center this afternoon. Today's game was the regular season finale for both teams.
Junior goaltender
Mavrick Goyer played all 65 minutes in goal for the Statesmen. He made 22 saves as he earned his sixth shutout of the season.
Nate Mueller started in goal for the Beavers. He made 34 saves in the shutout.
FOR THE RECORD
- Hobart concludes the regular season with a 23-1-1 overall record. The Statesmen went 18-1-1 in conference play and clinched their fourth straight NEHC regular season title.
- Babson concludes the regular season with a 13-10-2 overall mark and a 11-8-1 record in conference play. The Beavers will be the No. 3 seed in the NEHC tournament.

- First-year Tamas Toth opened the sixth round with a goal. He skated down the left side of the zone, cut to the slot and wristed a shot over Mueller's glove.

- Goyer's 14 shutouts are second on Hobart's career list.
- His six shutouts this season are tied for third on Hobart's single-season list with his six from last year. He is one behind Damon Beaver's record of seven.
- Hobart's 11 shutouts this season are second on the single-season list.
