William Smith finished the year with a 14-5 overall record, advancing to the third round of the NCAA tournament. It was the Herons' 25th overall and ninth consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament. William Smith went 9-0 in Liberty League play, capturing the regular season title.

The Herons finished the year ninth in the nation in turnovers per game (13.21), 12th in draw control percentage (.630) and clearing percentage (.895) and 20th in scoring defense (7.37). Individually, senior goalie
Maura Smeader, who was named a third team All-American by the IWLCA, was 14th in the nation in GAA (7.47) and 37th in save percentage (.487).

Katherine Murray led the Herons with 51 goals and 70 points. Sophomore
Kira Fulton had a team-high 22 assists and was second on the team with 32 goals and 54 points. Senior
