ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.—The Hobart soccer team knocked off Bard 1-0 in a Liberty League contest at the Lorenzo Ferrar Soccer and Lacrosse Complex this afternoon. With the win, the Statesmen are now 7-0-2 on the season with a 2-0-1 mark in conference play.
 
Sophomore forward Brady Leitner scored for the Statesmen. Sophomore Jake Hans played all 90 minutes in goal and matched his career high with four saves as he earned the shutout. He is 3-0-0 this season with two shutouts.
 
Jake Sudit and Julian Landau both played 45 minutes in goal for Bard. They combined for four saves. With the loss, the Raptors are now 7-2-0 overall with a 0-1-0 mark in Liberty League play.

• Hobart's nine-game unbeaten streak to start the season matches its best start to a year since 2008. The Statesmen won their first nine games of the year that season.
