Box Score SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The William Smith tennis team wrapped up action at the 2025 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III Women's Northeast Regional Championships held at the McCaffery-Wegman Tennis Center on Saturday.
Six Herons represented William Smith over the weekend and were highlighted by a semifinal showing sophomore
Bethany Walker and junior
Mae Kellersman in the B Draw doubles bracket. The Heron duo advanced out of the opening round after an injury to its St. Lawrence opponent. In the quarterfinal round, Walker and Kellersman defeated Union's Megan McCusker and Jennifer Park 8-7 (7-4) to advance to the semifinals. In the semifinal round, the William Smith duo fell to eventual champion Liya Pomfret and Sara Lippen from Vassar, 8-6.
In the doubles main flight, senior
Haley Levine and junior
Grace Magna fell in the opening round to St. Lawrence's Ellie McDermed and Ariane Karera 8-3.
In singles play, Kellersman defeated Union's Claire Langille 6-2, 7-6 (7-3) to advance to the round of 32 in the main draw. She then fell to Skidmore's Ginevra Muratori 8-1 in the second round. Levine battled against No. 3 seed Nicole Ridenour from RPI in the opening round, but fell in a thrilling tiebreaker 6-2, 2-6 (6-10).
Magna fell in the opening round of the main draw to Vassar's Sieun Lee 6-2, 6-0, while sophomore
Mia Jacobs fell to NYU's Victoria Wang 6-0, 6-0.
In the B draw singles bracket, first-year
Kaitlyn Hardy defeated Rochester's Rou Qian Wang 8-2, before falling to Ithaca's Aenessa Rylski 8-7 (7-5) in the quarterfinal round. Walker fell in the opening round to Skidmore's Margaret English 8-5 to conclude singles action.

Emme Levenson. "We are getting better together every day, and this weekend really highlighted our grit and growth."
UP NEXT:
William Smith will be back in action Oct. 11-12 when it travels to Clinton, New York, for the Hamilton Fall Invitational. Action is set to begin at 9 a.m. at the Tietje Family Tennis Center.
