The William Smith golf team will open its second season under Head Coach
Seraphine Hamilton '06 when it competes in the St. Lawrence Invitational, Sept. 6-7. The 36-hole tournament gets underway at Appleton Golf Course on Saturday at 1 p.m. Sunday's second round is set to start at 8:30 a.m.

Senior
Caroline Gannon has been the team's scoring leader in each of the past two seasons. She's averaged 89.1 strokes per round over the course of her collegiate career. Gannon shot a career-low 84 in the opening round of the 2024 Liberty League Championships.

Sophomore
Fiona Garfield, and juniors
Tara Valas and
Sophia Pomposello (abroad during the fall semester) also bring veteran experience to the lineup.

The team's depth will be bolstered by first-years
Maggie McCarthy, from Fairfield (Conn.) Ludlowe High School, and
Samantha Murray, from St. Paul's School (Md.).

The Herons' fall schedule also includes a home match against Geneseo on Sept. 11 and a short trip to Penn Yan, New York, to play in the Keuka Fall Invitational.
