COACH'S CORNER
"We are thrilled to walk away with the win and the shutout," Head Coach
Laura Burnett-Kurie '08 said. "The conditions were tough, yet we didn't let that effect our mentality and focus. We came out flying in the second half after a strong first half performance, and did a great job feeding off the energy of the bench. Once we broke through with Casey's goal, we didn't take our foot off the pedal until the final whistle. Overall, we are very happy with how we responded and excited to continue to push to reach our max potential."
UP NEXT
The Herons will be back in action next Saturday, Sept. 13, when they head to Grantham, Pennsylvania, to take on Messiah, which was ranked eighth in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll. The non-conference contest is scheduled to begin at noon.
