10/20/2026 3:25:00 PM

The William Smith soccer team returned to the IWSOC Poll this week, checking in at No. 12. It is the Herons' highest ranking of the season. In addition, William Smith moved up six spots to No. 19 in this week's NCAA Power Index. NPI is the formula used for selecting at-large bids to the NCAA tournament.

The rankings come as the Herons prepare to host St. Lawrence on Wednesday, Oct. 21, in the final game of a four-game homestand. William Smith enters the match on a six-game winning streak and is coming off an upset victory over then No. 8 Vassar on Saturday. Juniors Kristin Middaugh and Aleena Solano scored 27 seconds apart as the Herons stunned the Brewers 2-1.

The Saints are looking to bounce back from a 2-0 loss to RIT on Saturday.
