LEWISBURG, Pa.—The Hobart lacrosse team was locked in a tough battle with former Patriot League rival Bucknell this afternoon. The Statesmen used a three-goal run spanning the third and fourth quarters to take a 10-9 lead, but the Bison responded with a three-goal run of their own to secure a 12-10 victory at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium.

Colman Craft continued his impressive start, recording a season-high three ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers. Goalie
Michael Johnson made 10 saves in just over 59 minutes of work.
Bucknell (4-1) got three goal games from Michael Meyer and Owen Kovacs. Luke Brunner and Sean Murray each scored twice. Faceoff specialists Colin McLoy was 13-of-24 with three ground balls. Starting goalie Jaz Zanelli made one save on five shots in just short of 11 minutes of action. Luke Renaud made seven saves in relief.
GAME RECAP
First Quarter: Hobart 4, Bucknell 4
- Bucknell took an early lead on goals by Meyer and Kovacs in the first two minutes.
- Sophomore Johnny Harding got the Statesmen on the board, and DiTomasso, assisted by Cano, tied it at 2-2.
- Peterkin cashed in on Hobart's first of four man-up opportunities, scoring with help from DiTomasso to Hobart its first lead.
- The teams traded goals, including Peterkin's second, ending the quarter tied at 4-4.
Second Quarter: Hobart 6, Bucknell 6
- Senior Cade Dino kicked things off for the Statesmen with a goal assisted by senior Max Snellenburg, marking his second goal of the season.
- Cano extended Hobart's lead with his fifth goal of the season after a faceoff win by Schofield.
- Bucknell scored twice in the final two minutes of the half, leaving the score tied at halftime.
Third Quarter: Bucknell 9, Hobart 8
- The Bison scored twice to start the second half scoring, building an 8-6 lead six minutes in.
- First-year Gordon Bennett scored for the Statesmen, narrowing the deficit to 8-7.
- With under four minutes left in the quarter, Bucknell pushed its lead back to two, but Cano got it back to a one-goal game less than a minute later.
Fourth Quarter: Bucknell 12, Hobart 10
- Hobart reclaimed the lead with a pair of extra-man goals. DiTomasso tied the game with the man advantage of an assist by senior Alex Begina.
- At 8:31, sophomore Bryce Johnson followed with another man-up goal, assisted by Peterkin, giving the Statesmen a 10-9 lead.
- The lead lasted just over a minute. Brunner tied the game just past the halfway point of the quarter and Murray put the home team back in front with his second goal of the game less than a minute later.
- The Bison sealed the win with an insurance goal with 92 seconds remaining.
