The battle began in doubles play as Franklin and Marshall edged Hobart, winning two of three matches to secure the doubles point. The duo is now 6-0 in the No. 2 spot this season.

In the No. 3 spot, first-year Tejus Ranadive and senior Jose Martinez Barelles pushed Soren Rudin-Aulenback and Gonzalo Gentou but fell in a tiebreaker 7-6 (7-4) to secure the doubles point for the Diplomats.
