Jack Farnen delivered a two-run triple to right center in the seventh inning that put the Hobart baseball team ahead for good on the way to a 9–7 Liberty League victory over St. Lawrence on Friday night at Falcon Park.

Jack O'Neil led Hobart's offense with three hits apiece. Petry also had a game-high four RBIs, while O'Neil scored twice and added a stolen base. Senior

Quinn Dashefsky each contributed two hits. Jones posted two RBIs and Dashefsky scored twice.
In a game filled with momentum shifts, St. Lawrence took an early 5–0 lead in the second inning. Willie Landman scored on a bases loaded walk, Jack Finnegan came home on a wild pitch, and Eddie Morrissey added what should have been a grand slam, but turned into a three-run triple when he failed to step on home plate. However, Hobart quickly responded. Petry's double brought home three runs.
Will Jones contributed with a two-run double, leveling the score at 5–5 by the end of the second inning. All five Hobart runs came with two outs.
The Statesmen seized the lead in the third inning when O'Neil scored on a groundout by junior
Cole Conte, pushing the score to 6–5. The Saints tied it again in the fourth with a triple by Mike Siano that brought in John Donnellan.
St. Lawrence edged ahead in the sixth when Max Cloutier singled to score Donnellan. But the Statesmen answered in the seventh on Farnen's triple to the right center gap which was followed by a RBI sacrifice bunt by Petry, putting Hobart up 9–7.
First-year
Joe Dunham allowed just one hit over the final 2 2/3 scoreless innings to secure his second win of the season.
Hobart (13-5, 1-0) will host St. Lawrence (4-4, 0-1) again at MCC's baseball field in Rochester, on Saturday, March 21, with the first pitch of the doubleheader scheduled for 1 p.m.
