GENEVA, N.Y. – The Hobart tennis team cruised to two nonconference victories as it defeated Farmingdale State and Drew 7-0 this afternoon in a doubleheader in Bristol Field House. With the wins, the Statesmen improve to 3-0 on the season, while the Rams fall to 1-2 and Rangers drop to 3-3 overall.
Hobart opened up the days action in doubles play against Farmingdale St. and put on a convincing performance, winning all three doubles matches to claim the early point. Seniors

Aidan Staunton continued their dominance in the No. 1 position as they defeated Zakaria Ahmed and Devan Melandro 6-1.

Achilleas Kousaridis picked up their second straight doubles win in the No. 2 spot as they took down Henri Pothier and Danial Zindani 6-4. Senior

Tejus Ranadive improved to 2-0 in doubles play as they secured the doubles point with a 6-0 win over Kwaku Agyeman and Michael Lerman in the No. 3 spot.
The Statesmen continued to roll in singles play, winning all six singles matches in straight sets. Staunton secured his first win of the season in the No. 1 spot as he defeated Melandro 7-6, 6-1, while first-year
Michael Georgelis moved to 2-0 in dual match singles play with a 6-0, 6-3 win over Agyeman in the No. 2 spot.
Everett continued to impress in singles play, defeating Zindani 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 3 spot to move to 2-0 in his rookie season. Ranadive added a dominant 6-0, 6-0 win over Lerman in the No. 4 spot, collecting his third singles win of the season.
Sophomore
Marco Olmos defeated Jordan Gonzales 7-5, 6-2, in the No. 5 spot for his first dual match singles win of the season, while first-year
Tyler Snyder made his collegiate debut in dual match singles play and secured the 6-4, 6-3 win over Pothier in the No. 6 spot.
In its second match of the day, Hobart put on another impressive showing which started in doubles play, winning all three matches in dominant fashion. Fischer and Staunton won their second match of the day as they defeated Jesse Faro and Daniel Arcari 6-2 in the No. 1 spot.
In the No. 2 doubles position, Everett and Kousaridis defeated Nicolas Mobayed and Shivi Perera 6-2, while Ranadive and Martinez Barelles chipped in a 6-0 win over Devan Sutaria and Cameron Longa in the No. 3 spot to secure the doubles point.
The Statesmen continued to roll in singles play, winning all six points over the Rangers. In the No. 1 spot, Fischer posted a dominant 6-1, 6-0 win over Faro to move to 2-0 in dual match singles play. Kousaridis chipped in a 6-1, 6-1 win over Arcari in the No. 2 spot.
Georgelis continued to shine in singles play as he defeated Mobayed 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 3 spot to move to 3-0 on the season. Martinez Barelles secured a win in the No. 4 spot as he swept Perera 6-0, 6-0.
Senior
Tarang Malhotra won his first singles dual match of the season as he defeated Sutaria 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 5 spot. Olmos closed out the sweep with a demanding 6-0, 6-0 win over Longa in the No. 6 spot.

Hobart will be back in action on March 15-18, when it travels to Orlando, Florida for four nonconference matches. The Statesmen will take on Coe, St. Norbert, Franklin and Marshall and Springfield over the three-day period.
