GENEVA, N.Y.—William Smith juniors
Mia Falco and
Katie Grottenthaler recorded their 100th career points as the seventh-ranked Heron lacrosse team knocked off Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute 19-6 in a Liberty League Contest at Urick Stadium this afternoon. Falco and Grottenthaler combined for six points in the victory.

Caitie Baker led William Smith's defense with three caused turnovers. Graduate student
Casey Fiore played all 60 minutes in goal and made five saves. She also had a team-high three ground balls and a caused turnover.
Camile Stackhouse had a hat trick to lead the Engineers' offense. Kacey Pitts won three draws and Sofia Cedrone had two caused turnovers. The RPI players had two draw controls each. Halley Feaga started in goal and made six saves in the first half. Emmerson Danish and Lillian Brady combined for four saves in the second half.

- Falco, who has played in 52 career games now has 101 points on 56 goals and 45 assists. A transfer from Furman, 92 of her points have come in 32 games in Geneva.
- Grottenthaler has played in 45 games. She has 100 career points on 88 goals and 12 assists. A transfer from Youngstown State, she has 30 points in 14 games this season at William Smith.

- William Smith jumped out to a 5-0 lead just under four minutes into the game and never looked back. Colvin opened the scoring 38 seconds into the game. She buried a feed from Fulton for her 23rd goal of the season.
- Junior Grace Rund scored the game's next two goals. Her 25th goal of the season was a woman-up free position goal, and her 26th of the year was set up by Colvin. Fifteen seconds later, Fulton scored an unassisted goal, her 18th goal of the year. Falco's 98th career point came on an unassisted goal with 11:21 remaining in the opening frame.
- Stackhouse briefly halted the Herons' run with a free-position goal. It was her 27th goal of the year.
- Grottenthaler and Falco teamed up for William Smith's next goal. Falco hit a cutting Grottenthaler, who buried a shot in the back of the net for her 27th goal of the year. The tally was the 99th career point for both Grottenthaler and Falco. Senior Taryn Luzi notched her 30th goal with 1:42 remaining in the opening stanza.
- RPI opened the scoring in the second quarter. Ava Gilardone dodged around a defender and slipped a shot past Fiore. It was her sixth goal of the year.
- The Herons put the game out of reach with a 9-2 run over the next 21 minutes. Fulton kickstarted the run with 6:19 left in the first half. Her 19th goal of the year was assisted by Fulton's 100th career point. 45 seconds later, Luzi scored a woman-up goal, her 31st of the season.
- Colvin, Delaney Cassidy, and Falco scored the final three goals of the first half. Colvin's goal was set up by Luzi. Cassidy and Falco's goals were unassisted.
- Gilardone started the scoring in the second half with her 28th goal of the year.
- Two minutes later, Grottenthaler split a pair of defenders and ripped a shot past the RPI goalie for her 100th career point. Fulton completed her hat trick one minute later with an unassisted goal. With 7:18 remaining in the third quarter, Cassidy scored a woman-up goal, converting on a feed from Colvin.
- Stackhouse netted her second goal of the game with 4:29 remaining in the third quarter.
- First-year Amanda Leone tacked on a goal with 1:54 left in the third quarter. It was her seventh goal of the season.
- Fulton, Colvin and senior Alexandra Tapia scored goals for William Smith in the fourth quarter. Fulton's fourth goal of the game was set up by Colvin. First-year Ava Keiser had the assist on Colvin's goal and Tapia's tally was assisted by Leone.
- Stackhouse and Lila Kania had the Engineers' goal in the fourth quarter.

Fulton extended her point streak to 29 games. She has recorded at least one point in 33 of her last 34 games.
